It's not wrong, but it is definitely setting yourself and him up for a lot of heartache, why do this to each other? There's gotta be another way. The relationship, being once lovers can never really be a true friendship again. It's over, move on. It's better for both of you in the long run.

It might cause some problems along the way. They may become possessive or jealous if you find someone else. Can cause problems with your new love, make it uncomfortable for the new person to visit or stay over. If your new love finds out that your roomie was a former lover there may be issues with trust. How do you think it would make them feel? You broke up but still live under the same roof and sleep not far from each other. Not sure if this helps. Wish you the best of luck. Its nice to remain friends after a break but emotions get in the way. Especially if they think they are in love with you.

That is just asking for trouble. What are you going to do when you or he brings someone else home? It's going to hurt the other person, regardless. Most people are afraid of breaking up because they can't make it on their own. You're much better off looking for a cheaper place, or a new roommate.

Yes!!! Very bad idea, especially if he is still in love. It will make life hell for both of you. I tried rooming with an ex once and even though neither of us was in love any more, it turned into a nightmare. I wouldn't even try it if I were you. Be friends, but don't room together.

I am going to go ahead and say you shouldn't do it. Speaking from experience, it hurts to be around the one you love who doesn't love you back.
