No, this is not a political, racial or religious question. I see all this violence, hatered, bigotry, stupidity, theft, rape and murdering in this country and it really just makes me wonder. I truely think that a vast majority of Americans are just stupid sheep, wandering around thinking only of and for themselves.

yes.

But I've seen other cultures that are far worse, like the Germans, the Iraqis, the French, etc. I find people in general to seek leadership and be rather lazy in the lack of it. Not only are they lazy, they are uneducated. it is easier to listen to some air-brained celebrity than to do reasearch and make up one's own mind.

Usually people that think this way have a very bad psychotic problem.. and im not saying this to be mean spirited or to get you angry in anyway, but are you on medication for depression or something? bipolar perhaps?

You may want to talk to a shrink.
your half right There are many people in the world not just america who are only in it for themselves and bigotry violence and hatered are not new concepts and are everywhere you look.

But thats not all there is by a long shot. There are many people who are good people, that are not bigots or filll their minds with hate or disdain for their fellow man. You may want to look into a mirror and ask yourself if this is what you are becomming. By asking this question with the tone you used. You are showing some of that hatred and disdain yourself

well i think the problem is that they are NOT thinking for themselves. when most ppl open their eyes and see what they are doing, they usually start doing something else. its called spiritual growth. which is not advertised or taught to enough ppl. and no, i don't mean 'religious' or religion centered. even a lot of ppl who go to church aren't spiritual. they also just go and follow like sheep being led to slaughter, never questioning why they believe or even if they believe. they may say, "i go to church b/c i was raised in this church" or "i do drugs b/c i was raised by ppl who drink or do drugs." or they are in denial b/c if they say to someone something needs to be done about the state of the nation, the other person/s may just say things like "boys will be boys" or "that's the frosting that goes with the cake" its called denial and america is in denial about a lot of things.

it is so hard to get things changed, but just keep talking to ppl, you will find some that are working hard to stay out of denial.

A person by themself may be smart, but I think that when two or more people get together, the intelligence rate plummets. If a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, then a group of people is only as smart as the dumbest person.

yes. not just americans though. but we have a reputation for following without much thought. in addition many, regardless of nationality, do things out of habit and abhor change...and change is the result of contemplation.

HEY, I am an American and take offense to your comments. I am a hard working, good person. Maybe you shouldn't judge people so quickly.

Being that I am an intelligent person who thinks for herself, I have nothing to worry about. As for the bible-thumping, Bush-supporting rednecks - they have plenty to worry about.
