1- Pin the two pieces of fleece together so they don't slip when you cut them. Using quilting pins is easier b/c they are longer and have that ball at the end which makes them easier to see and remove later.
2- Cut 2 inch slits through both pieces of fleece at the same time. I have found big sharp scissors work best b/c fleece can get pretty thick and when cutting through two layers it can be tough. The pins will hold the fabric together so your cutting will be exactly the same on both pieces of fabric. My mom uses a round cutting disk with a self healing board underneath to cut hers'.
3-Space your 2 inch slits between 1/2 and 1 inch apart, making sure to use the same distance the entire blanket.
4- Here's the easy part, tying! Choose your favorite knot and go to town! To make the knots look the best, don't let the fabric twist on you, keep it flat.
5- Now that the blanket is tied together, remove all of the pins and wash the blanket before using. If you think you missed any of the pins, use a magnet and run it over the blanket to pick up extra.

First get two fleeces that are exactly the same lenght. Then decide how long you want each fringe. 4 inch is what i use. This is the confusing part. Cut out a 4 inch square in each corner. this will make the corner into a L.Cut each fringe about the same lenght but don't worry that much about straightness. This blanket it doesn't show if you get a little crocked! Once you did all the sides. Take the two strips and knot them. Note : make sure you tie them all the same way cuz if u have all different knots it will not turn oout as good! If you need more help here's a addreses that explains it pretty good.http://users.pld.com/rbriggs/blanket.htm. You should be set now!

decide what size blanket you want to make, add
about another 2 inches. Fold the fleece in half like a giant triangle & get the ends even & then clip into the fabric approx 2 inches (you will need good sharpe sissors. Then tie into a knot if you want 2 different fabrics like a solid & a pattern put your fabric on top of each other and do the same this will be a very very warm blanket. Fleece will not fray so you dont have to worry about having a sewing machine. Good Luck

You should buy a kit at Walmart. Pretty easy and cheap. Then the instructions will be inside. I made one kit then I made 4 or 5 more for my family.

You can find the pattern and instructions at any craft place like wal-mart, rag shop, or where you would buy the material.

I would imagine you could just cut the sides into strips and then tie them together...seems like that would be the easy way.
