I know for a fact that not all inmates are guilty.
I have a beloved friend serving a life sentence for a murder he did not commit... his lawyer never called 3 witness that could have shown the jury he was 50 miles from the scene.
Besides my own experience, if all inmates were guilty, there would never be anyone released because new evidence showed them to be innocent.

Everyone who is in prison, except those awaiting trial have been found guilty of an offence and so are guilty. Do I think that all those found guilty committed the offences? Never. There are too many dishonest DAs and cops who will do just about anything to get a conviction and aren't too concerned about how they do it. Cases arise nearly daily where it is shown that people who have been found guilty never did the crime. This is an increasingly worrying problem in America and why the innocence project has been so successful. Go to http://www.innocenceproject.org/ for more information.

At any given time, at least 7% -10% of people serving time in prison are not guilty of the crime. We discussed this in my law class a few weeks ago.

Most are guilty, probably like .05% may be innocent of the crime they were charged with but are guilty of something else they didn't get caught for and need to be there anyway, there are RARE exceptions.

I believe that being in the wrong place at the wrong time is true for alot of people in prison. And i also believe that the punishment doesnt always fit the crime. I believe that alot of people get out of jail or dont do the right jail time..A man attacts a women and does 3 monthes in jail...and even pleads to it.and gets time served..can someone tell me how this is possible.....

As a former corrections officer the answer is an emphatic no. The same goes for death row inmates. Quick convictions makes for good political momentum for incumbents. Sad sign of our times and way of life.

No, I can believe there is at least one innocent person in jail, but I believe the majority by far are guilty.

No, I don't. But I do believe that karma catches up with you and some times you go down for something you are innocent of for the things you did that were illegal.
