There are so many ways to make an impact IN the world, but not many people make and impact ON the world. The latter is a pretty big order. And no one person made an impact on the entire world. In general, people go about living their lives, and perhaps, something they discover in the hard sciences or in the field of the humanities may gain some notoriety. You cannot get a bachelor of science or a bachelor of arts in impact. Earning a living, maintaining friendships, cultivating an intimate relationship, and contributing to your community are pretty big orders in and of themselves. And those things make a big impact that has a very positive ripple effect. And if you want to make an impact in a professional way, go on to post graduate school and work diligently. Making a big impact in the world is more a by-product of ones life. It is not something you can set out do. It either happens or it doesn't happen as a by-product of your life. And it happens to a handful of people. Nobody can do anything they want with their lives. We all have boundaries and limitations. Sit down and take an inventory of your strengths and talents and go from there.

Go to college and get a degree. You'll then have an education which will translate into a good paying job so that you'll be able to take care of yourself and not depend on a man for your support!
Only YOU know how you can make an impact in this world. Only YOU know what you're willing and able to do and what effort you're willing to put into it. Only YOU know if you're motivated enough to do something... anything that will change this world and make it a better place.
Only YOU can keep yourself from getting pregnant... getting married......
What do YOU want to do with YOUR LIFE?????

University would be a great asset. However, if you have no idea what you want to do it could be a waste of time and good money. You will have to sit down and figure out what you want to do, write down your dreams, your hopes, your wishes and where you want to be 5 years from now. You will them make a list of ways to achieve your goals. You will them list them and give them priorities, this will help you get organized.
No great dream or goal will be met waiting for answers from others.
Good luck!

Find a problem you care about. Start volunteering now with a group that works toward solving/helping this problem.
Get an education that supports you in this work especially if you think that a different approach could do more good.

Just carry on with your life as you normally would. Once you find an interesting path mid way where you feel you can make a difference, you can then take it.

If you are really interested in something then follow that road. Learn more about it, go to college, get a job in that field, etc. You have to figure that out for yourself.
