which is the difference between a Folk guitar and a dreadnought guitar? I'm about to buy a guitar, I've always wanted a dreadnought guitar but I can not find one. I got a yamaha F310 guitar, which looks very like a dreadnought but I just don't know what to do, I really need to know the difference. By the way, are dreadnoughts and texans guitars the same ones?

a folk guitar is a smaller "wider" neck guitar. as far as a dreadnought goes, you can get them anywhere...i play guitar, lotsa ani difranco folkish type stuff and for what ive found alvarez is a grrreat brand..if yur lookin to get a new accoustic id recommend them..or you can go to elderly.com lotsa selection and reasonable prices..far better than most music shops

Okay my own Perception? One you'd see at a Raggae party with dread-locks, on it, and the other You'd see at a "Jewel" concert!!! I dont know????????
