I am a computer programmer with 9 yrs exp in southern california.
They pay me only $85 an hour. Am I being underpaid? If so, what should be the correct pay?

not really maybe by a couple dollars but not much, be happy with what you got man not everyone is that lucky. i don't know what to do if your underpaid though

Probably you are underpaid if you are working full time as a programmer. I base this on the psychiatric bills that full time programmers will incur to keep from going insane and offing half the town. In order to afford a shrink, you need to make more than they do.

You are grossly underpaid.. tell them you want $105 an hour or you'll quit.
