It depends on if both parties are willing to have that sort of realtionship.

I think they can work if the couple eventually finds other common grounds between them. What started out as a purely physical relationship with me and my fiance turned serious after 2 years, and weve been together now for over 5 years. And yes, the sex is still HOT!

Depends what you mean by pure. If you mean pure as in only sex, then usually no. It's too carnal for an actual emotional relationship to be set up. If you mean pure as in it's unadulterated, and it's loyal to the partner, then it usually works along with emotional relationships. If it pure and only dedicated to the lover, then indeed it can has its advantages. If it is pure as only the sex involved, then it might fail.

Yes, but only if they are PURE sex relationships. If there is something else besides desire for sex on either side, it can't work for long. But, reality is that nothing 100% pure really exists, so...

Pure sex relationships don't work-because after awhile the relationship gets boring because there's no real feelings involved-believe me sex can get pretty boring pretty fast without any other attraction.

i have had a long standing in between. we get together in between relationships and just have sex. its been like that for over 8 yrs! hes a great guy, great in bed and a dreamboat. i wouldnt have him any other way. our relationship is clearly mainly sexual, but hes also a distant friend. hes kinda like a safety net in case im single and need some live action. ;) that way i wont rush into a relationship, i may not need at the time.

for the record, currently im in love with someone who's my whole enchilada. i dont think i'll need my friend for a long time, if ever!

Not a chance in hell but i used to think like that though but i matured as a person and realised that sex is not just the relationship it's a part of it granted but it's not the be all and end all of it

Not for long, good relationships are built on more than sex, although, sex is a big part at first, there has to be much more to sustain a relationship.

Very satisfying for about 3 sessions. Then you realise it's not really a relationship, and you get bored of going back for a dip when there's nothing else about the person that stimulates you.

That's kind of an oxymoron. If it's purely sex is it really a relationship? You have created an unanswerable question. HOW will we get our ten points??
