I went to PetCo awhile ago and was looking for a new buddy for my hermit crabs, that i got a couple of months ago at this local flea market called Denios, and while i was looking in there,there were legs and eyes all over the place like they never cleaned it out and when they guy took them out so i can see each one invidually,one was covered in the stuff on the bottom so he took it all off and the hermit crab didn't move, so he pulled it out alittle and it still didnt move, I guess it could have been molting,but who knows? How do your hermit crabs look at your local PetCo?

They are so well known for misstreatment of their hermit crabs!!! OH MY LORD it makes me sick!
I would like to offer this to ANYONE who has found similar problems. Email us the address and phonenumber of the petstore with hermit crab problems and will will take care of it.
We are land hermit crab advocates and will do whatever it takes to correct these terrible things! It is sick.. they wouldnt get away with doing this with puppies and kittens!

at our local pet co, the hermit crabs are clean and moving around. A lot are climbing on eaching other or on the netting. They take care of their animals.

They are the same at our Petco too. I would look at Petsmart. I went there and they looked fine.

at my local pet co they are green and i have no idea why, but at the petsmart they are normal and perfect
