Why do some people consider it wrong to love someone of the same gender?

Cause it kinda goes against what it seems nature intended. It's always been male and female. It wasn't Adam and Brett. In every animal chain it's taken at least one female and one male for that species to survive. It's the same for humans.

Because the law was handed down by Moses. The purpose of the law is to show all men and women where they have fallen short of the glory of God.

Because some people are ignorant and afraid: There are people who have not been educated about gay people or about love. They don't know that there's nothing wrong with two same-sex people falling in love because they were just never taught anything about how other people live and love. Some people are afraid of the unknown, what they are not used to, and they fear that it will somehow bring harm to themselves, because they don't know what the gay life really is. And A LOT of the ignorance and fear comes from christians. They go with whatever they think the bible is telling them. And guess what - not everyone is a christian or bothers with the bible, and some people follow different religions. You cannot call gays "wrong" or "immoral" just because YOU read it in a bible. I read in Cosmo that YOU are a jackass and a bigot! And if it's not part of your world, it doesn't matter, right? Not everyone cares to MULTIPLY, ya know! You can't decide for others what should or shouldn't make them happy! The bible this, the bible that... GO READ SOME OTHER BOOKS, PEOPLE!! Gays make healthy parents and raise healthy, intelligent loving children - A PROVEN FACT. Lesbians are quite beautiful (MY WIFE IS!) And you guys can't get such hot women! Love, real love, is of God, and so it is never wrong. But real, natural, God-sent love and homosexuality are like day and night.
Some people see homosexuality as a birth defect, while others say it's a mental illness. I am open-minded and don't see why it couldn't be both. Whatever the case, you can't slap the label "Love" on what is really nothing more than a shared disability. It won't stick. God can and will heal the person of his or her affliction, if they truly seek Him with earnestness and perseverance. Then they will be ready to experience real love.

Love has many different definitions. However right and wrong for many is defined from the bible. In the bible it talks of Adam and Eve ect... for the procreation of mankind. Same sex can't exactaly procreate on their own. Also in there it talks about love...brotherly love between David and King Saul's son. The relationship was defined and appropriate. They didn't try and procreate but loved each other alot. However in Sodom and Gamorrah it is also defined as wrong for same sex to have sexual relations. They were punished by God. So do you define love as SEX or Relationship? However if your not biblical at all...or don't care about the bible....then I guess it should not matter to you.

Because it's not natural. It goes against Darwinism, Survival of the Fittest, Biology, Anatomy, etc. Same reson why beastiality is wrong. It's just unatural, literally. It's the only thing that science and all world religions agree upon. There is no Yin and Yin, or Yang and Yang, it's Yin and Yang.

Because, for alot of us, it's not natural. As humans, we only fear what we do not understand. But let's face it, only a person of the same gender truly comprehends what truly pleasures us. To me, it's not a matter of right and wrong ... for I know first hand that alot of people who enter relationships with the opposite sex don't really know how to love. So it matters not to me about the sex, it matters if you have the ability to love and commit to another person, period.

That is just the teaching that has been handed down by narrowminded people through the generations. Some people have to hold tight to these teachings - if they don't their whole life, world, and everything they thought they knew comes into question. Why does sex have to result in production of offspring? I don't think it does, do all you guys out there have sex to produce children? Don't you just enjoy sex for enjoyment?

In terms of animals having same sex, lots of them do - question yourself about what male and female means in the animals kingdom too - the male seahorse for example, get preganant and give birth!
