there is none. A rainbow is definitely around, however the phenomenon is so faint that it may't be stated the completed way around. you may attempt it on a sunny day. which contain your back to the sunlight, use a backyard hose to create an excellent spray. objective suitable and you will see a rainbow. circulate the hose and you will discover that it is an entire circle, different than for the place your legs block the incoming mild.

if you are high enough above the rain, like in a plane the rainbow you see below you is a circle. so no ends

No, try making one with spray from a hosepipe, standing with the sun on one side of you and the spray on the other - you will see a full circle rather than a bow.

Apparently if you see one from an aeroplane it is a circle and not an arch. I have not been in a plane since I was 6 years old so no idea if it is true or not. :) My hubby is a teacher and he told me that. (do I believe him, not sure)
