central air problem,on split unit ,the fan at the compressor quit running .i had the fan checked it is good ?

I have changed the motor run capacitor what else could it be?I would appreciate your help=broke thanks

Are you sure you checked the right capacitor? Some have two, one for the compressor and one for the fan. Make sure you're getting power to the fan. Usually, when it won't start like that, though, it is that capacitor.

Our friend in HVAC says that most problems he sees on service calls are blocked compressors. He said you have two choices, try and clean it yourself or have the HVAC guys come on back out. He did say most of the time its fairly simple to fix tho.
