They have a problem with the whole banning of gay marriage thing. See, there is this thing in the Constitution about the "separation of church and state". The only thing they can say is wrong about gay marriage is that it is a "sin" (which is religion!!), or they just don't like it. It isn't dangerous to anyone else, it violates no one elses rights, and it is all preferance, which you can not legislate. So gay marriages will never become illegal, because every time they try to pass a bill, or do pass a bill, the big guys in robes (the Supereme Court) shoots it down with that popular phrase "unconstitutional".

If you don't like gay marriage, don't marry someone of your own sex. Otherwise, keep your nose out of other people's business. The government does not belong in people's bedrooms, and what sex the adults are that are having sex with one another is not mine. Nor is it anyone else's. This thing about it being "gross", "sickening" or "sinful" is a crock! You don't have to do it.

You completely miss our Constitution. If you want a law passed, have the legislature do it. Secondly, there is no Constitutional Right to marriage. Try reading the Constitution instead of misreprsenting it. It does not mention anything about denying rights of any kind.

If you look at countries that have gay marriage, marriage is a joke. We only have it (temporarily) in Massachusetts. We have a 60% divorce rate for people under 30.

Why make such a big deal out of something that is completely irrelevent to almost everyones day to day life. It is nothing to do with the government or the courts. Yes - banning gay marriage is a violation of civil rights and it is an incursion by politicians into an area of life that has nothing to do with them.

I am tempted to go gay just to annoy people.

No, the Civil Rights Act does not mention sexual orientation. No state in the country has a state constitution which guarantees equality in terms of sexual orientation.

The expression "it's a free country" has always been a slogan, not a rule.

Of course it is a violation of the civil rights act for the rights of millions of Americans are denied on the basis of bigotry, stupid ignorance, and hatred. Gays are not asking for "special rights" as some may put forth, but simply for "equal rights".

The key folks is "Love", and when one person "Loves" another enough to dedicate their lives to that person then they should not be denied their personal happiness simply on the basis of another's "views". Gay's share the same hopes and dreams for a happy and fulfilling life that we all strive for, and to deny these folks access to any of America's laws is a moral outrage.

Banning gay marriage is correct. Get back in the closet and burn the rainbow flags. Marriage is one man and one woman.

I think we should leave the gays alone, let them get married. they deserve to be as miserable as the rest of us. Besides, they don't breed like rutting weasel immigrants from Cathoholic countries.

Yes. If gays want to marry, just let them. They're people like us, not the monsters some people make them out to be.
