By precluding simple answers, you're rejecting the possibility that it's a simple thing. It -is- a simple thing, so the answers are naturally simple.

Not very much. My heart ceases to beat, my neurons cease to fire, and I'll slowly decompose. And my family will for some odd reason stick me in a box and file by and look at me sadly. Does that strike anyone else as creepy? And then they stick me in the ground, all dressed up but with nowhere to go.

The actual moment (of a natural death, at any rate—not a car wreck or something) I think is pretty much like a blackout. You'll feel it coming a couple of seconds beforehand, but you never quite notice it arrive.

I don't understand why everyone thinks death is some mysterious occurrence. People die. That's it.

I really believe it’s like Near Death Experiencers have said…I think we first realize we are dead and see ourselves, but have no sadness about it. Then our soul or essence realizes how great it feels to be free of our body. Then I think like a white light or tunnel or something opens up near us and we are pulled in. While we are traveling through the light, I think we see all the happenings of our life and all our questions are answered. At the end of the journey I think we come face to face with the original force that sent our soul to learn here on earth. I think that energy (God, or whatever you want to call it) and you assess whether your soul has gained enough knowledge and understanding of what love is, what trust is, and whatever else a soul needs to learn and if it has, you go to a higher level of existence in the universe (sorry, I haven't thought about what that is...maybe becoming a creative force or something...idk). But if you have not learned enough I think that you and The Energy decide what would be another life that would help your soul reach that higher level. So, you get sent back and inhabit a new embryo and start all over again...but I think time is weird in death and "right back" could be 100 years here on earth, or 10 minutes. Anyway, I'm not sure if many of us come back to earth or there are other dimensions or worlds, but I do think we have to keep living till we learn what it really means to be good and love. Really, I have no idea, but I just liked your question and spilled this weirdness that generally would be kept private.

When you die first there's darkness, then you sense people. You begin looking for something familiar... Then you see Jesus at a distance, and he notices you. You will probably want to give him a hug or something like that, but you can't. You stiffen up, like you're paralyzed or something. You can't move. Then Jesus will fall at your feet and be crying. He tell you, "I've waited so long for you to come home." You still can't move, can't talk, nothing, but you'll cry a great deal of tears.

Then Jesus will lead you and say, "come and see what I've prepared for you". You still can't move very well, but Jesus' calling cannot be denied. You will want to be with him so much. Jesus will lead you to this door. It is amazing. The door is so big, you can't even see the top. Jesus opens it and there is this light. The light is blinding, and it looks like the surface of the sun. An immense expanse of light and consuming fire.

When I was there I told Jesus that I couldn't go inside. I knew I couldn't survive there. It looked scary and I knew it would hurt. Still I wanted to go. I wanted to go, so bad... It made me feel sad.. Then I was back, and at once I knew. I knew that I could have done it, if I had taken Jesus' hand and let him lead me. I think that's the only way I could it.

Your soul needs to be super-charged, enlightened. And your soul gets enlightened by seeking truth, practicing love, and relishing everything in this world that is beautiful. When you do that it's funny, they all get blended. What's truth is beauty, what's beauty is love, what's love is true. Enjoy the ride.

What happens after you die...

Known fact: your body will decompose.
Everything else: conjecture

If in the hereafter there is nothing, then there is nothing to fear. If there is something, then you shall begin a new journey. If there are heavan and hell, then persecute none of the living while here and there shall be no reason for you to be persecuted in the hereafter.

Peace.

the bible tells us to be absent of the body is to be present with the lord.i belive when we die we stand before god for our judgement and we will be held accountable for every thing we have done in this life .the good and bad if you r saved and served the lord you will enter into the gates of heaven if u die lost god will look u in your face and say[depart from me for i never knew you]sin can not enter into heaven so if u die a sinner not know jesus as your personl saviour you will go to a devils hell where the fire is never quenched and the worm dieth not
hope this helps

Hmm when you die..everyone thinks of that at one point ,what i believe is somewhere between that it ,nothing happens or that you are born again into another person but then eventually forget everything of your past life as you leave your infancy and you become a whole new person .

I think that based on Good/Bad Karma points you have accumulated before dying that you will get the good/bad treatment from the almighty or whoever you have to report to after dying.

I haven't died yet to tell you but my feeling is that we get recycled. We become worm food or fertilizer.
