As far as I am aware, there is no evidence that organic food is better than regular produce. There have been reports that have shown that the levels of commercial pesticides are lower on organic produce, but normal washing removes most of this even from normal produce. In the end it comes down to personal preference. Since I'm in the field of molecular biology (PhD candidate), I am a bit biased towards biotech products.

As the answer above said, all food is technically organic.

However, in terms of what the food industry states there is absolutely no medical evidence to suggest that organic food is better for you. It's certainly produced more humanely for livestock, and intuitively it seems sensible that fewer pesticides would be nice, but there isn't any hard evidence on this.

All food is organic. The question is whether or not the food you eat contains harmful chemicals from pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers.
