I've been thinking of getting a tattoo around my ring finger, and I was just wondering, on a scale of 1-10, how badly would it hurt? Please explain!

I have a somewhat high tolerance for pain, but then again, I'm not entirely sure what my tattoo pain tolerance is, considering I've never had one before.
Yes, the tattoo would be like a ring around my finger. The reason is because I wear this ring my grandmother gave me from Portugal on my ring finger where an engagement ring would be, and since I never really want to take off this ring, I want it tattooed on my finger. That way, when I get married, I can wear my rings on that finger, but I'll still have my grandmother's ring on!

It would depend on your tolerance for pain.... mine is high, so I got mine on the back of my neck... still hurt a little, but not enough to bring me to tears.

Well, my uncle got a tattoo on his index finger. He said it wasn't too painful, but was a little. On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate it to be a 4. I don't think you should get a tattoo on your ring finger, my uncle regretted ever having gotten that tattoo on his index finger.

The foot is going to HURT! It's best to get a tattoo that is the least painful place like your forearm or your shoulder so you know what to expect if you decide to get it somewhere else like your foot. The hip is not so bad. It hurts but not as bad as the foot. It also depends on your pain tolerance.

Try stabbing your ring finger with a needle over and over (no, don't really try it!) If you have a high tolerance for pain, it won't hurt much, but it will itch as it heals (at least, mine did). If you don't have a high tolerance to pain, you might want to rethink it or choose a small design!

4 or 5, should be too bad on your ring finger, because there won't have to be alot of shading. However, it is a needle gun so it will be somewhat uncomfortable.
