I vote for the St Vincent DePaul Society. They have a presence in every city of any size and will be glad to pick up a working stove. I like the fact that they give items to those in need free of charge.

Another option is to put it to the curb with a for $50.00 for sale sign on it. Leave it overnight and it is sure to disappear overnight.

Good luck with your donation.

The Salvation Army will send someone to come and pick up the stove and remove it from your house. You have to at least call them and tell them you have a stove to donate and set up an appointment for them to come. You can also use their price list and state what you feel the stove is worth used and get contribution paperwork (a simple piece of paper they sign) you can use for income tax purposes.

Publish it as a free item at Craig's List and that stove will be out of your hands before you know it.

Good Will, Salvation Army or any thrift stores listed in the yellow pages of your phone book. Tell them what you want to do, if they say no, ask for suggestions of who you might call :-) That;s a nice thing you;re doing, should make someone really happy !

I heard that goodwill picks up anything for donation. Try giving them a call (http://www.goodwill.org)

Faith Farm:

If you have one nearby, they'll do a pick-up at the curbside (you have to get it out there, though).
