is it to keep pretty feet pretty, or to make ugly feet pretty? because I have a little calloused skin on just my right foot and the lack of symmetry is bugging me. But I don't want the pedicurist to be snobby about judging my feet, because I'm not into cuticle care and polish.

If it makes you feel better before you go you can just trim your nails with an emery board and put some clear polish over them. And lotion on your feet. You go in feeling confident and you leave feeling amazing!
Oh and I'm sure the nail technician has probably seen all types of feet and feet issues.
Don't worry about it. Just remember who's doing who's feet and relax. They are there to make you feel good.

Your feet. Believe me I'm sure these people have seen the worst type of feet you can imagine. I can't say I've ever had one, but would a pedicurist not respect you more because you ARE infact taking time out to look after your feet? Just a thought.

If the pedicurist is snobby about judging your feet.. then she should be fired. That's not her job, her job is to give you a pedicure. They make and keep all feet pretty.

It is a manicure for your feet. They can make your skin and nails look better, smooth off callouses etc. You don't have to have polish, but it is good to have healthy cuticles.

The person that does your pedicure doesn't care about how your feet look when you get there ,she cares about how nice they look when you leave her place of business. Good care of your feet and toe nails helps keep them healthy and its very relaxing too. treat your self you wont stop getting them done and they do not have to have a polish.

They make you feel pretty and if you are worried about what the pedicurist will think - remember that it is their job, and if it still bugs you, buy a pumas stone.

a pedicure is to feet as a manicure is to fingers!!! It maybe to help them look pretty but it is light maintenance to keep ones feet from getting caloused and yuccy!! Be good to your feet they hold you up in this world and you will be well rewarded if you look after them.
