A broadband modem is configured and designed for broadband service I'm pretty sure it wont work on dial up. Dial up modems are pretty cheap to buy and easy to install

I am somehow confused at your question to be honest. Do you or do you not want to have a dial up connection as well as broadband? If you do, how did you have it previously? No doubt you used the built in modem that is and most probably is still in your pc? although I personally cannot see any reason for anyone subscribing to broadband which is normally dearer in price but wanting to use dial up as well which is much slower too??? except if you want to send faxes from your PC, in which case you just unplug your broadband modem temporarily, (the cable of which 's gone through the filter into your telephone line) and install the PC's modem cable into your telephone wall socket. This way you can also use the dial up connection as you had before. (just go to your control panel and set up a new connection by following on screen instruction).

There is no chance that a broadband moden will work with dial up but why would you switch from fast good broadband back to slow 56kb dial up.
I suggest that you install your modem with the disk that it came with and use broadband.
If you are stupid and want to go back to 56kb you can buy one for about £10 thats good

No broadband routers are just for broadband, ADSL routers are cheap now so just buy another one dont go back to dial up you will find it too slow and get frustrated with as you have been on broadband before
