The advise on flushing was good. The coolant in the bottle has nothing to do with the oil that ought to be on the dipstick.
If you suspect you are not getting a good price for the coolant system flushing, you could drain all the coolant out, there should be a petcock on the bottom of the radiator, and then refill with new coolant. A 1992 Topaz should still use the older Ethylene Glycol anti-freeze but check to make certain.
It will need to be mixed with water at about a 50% ratio. This will give maximum protection.

Most likely, they're right. Your cooling system needs flushing. If everything is working right, this will have no effect on the appearance of your oil. They are two separate systems. If you could see it in your oil, it would mean you have a cracked block or head or at least a bad gasket somewhere. It's possible you need a new radiator, but a system flush is the place to start and will probably do the job.

They are probably right. I would just drain the radiator. It really is not that hard. Do it at a car wash were they have the high pressure hoses, after you drain the radiator flush it with the car wash hose on rinse. And refill with 50/50 Anti-freeze and water. This is what my son did on his old pickup. And it worked great for him.

A system flush isnt a bad idea, the brown stuff is rust and corrosion. Time for a change, it will help the motor cool better.
