Stick with exchange traded index funds like SPDR. The individual stock picks you get here would likely be unreliable. Any money you put in the stock market should be long-term, at least 3 to 5 years. Your question about seasonal plays is for technical trading which involves options, lots of reading, and practice with trading on paper. As for seasonal stocks, the whole stock market seems to do better from september throughout december than the rest of the year, but that's generally. There are exceptions.

when gas price this high. pretty soon people cutting down on spending, sony or apple will be in the back seat. check out healthcare or consumer staple. seasonal stock play bad in september, october good buying opportunity is november. be patient, your patient will be reward in november.
