they would probably remember him for being this guy who wore chains and got shot. Not his crappy music whereas old music, lennon is remembered for his greatness in lyrics. Why is money involved too much now. Let ppl create. Not be manufactured. And yes maybe i am a "hater" but i'd say my reasoning is valid". How is it music when a rapper does a video, with girls half naked shaking there butt, its a business decision to make music. These rappers must be sitting at home saying "stupid fools, i do a crap song, walk round like i'm all tough, with my Bling (BS, wow a chain, get real, so materialistic, man i got converse, cheapo who cares), and they are just rolling in your money because you are being fooled by a messed about mowtown beat and a girls butt. And these ppl in cars playing Hip hop and drivin like they gonna shoot someone. Well i started driving with Nirvana on, and i know for a fact that is louder than rap. And i do it to prove a point. Not to be a jerk. Sorry for rambling

I could not agree with you more. Rap Hip hop is nothing but a big con and more fool those that fall for it and buy into it. Gansta thugs ripping off young people in the name of ...er talent! NO.
If you cannot see what is going on you need your head examined. They are making way too much money way too fast and it breeds nothing but obnoxious arrogance.

personally I think 50 cent and all other hard core rappers who rap about sex, drugs and fame should be shot(again for some like 50), because they are misleading the teens and children away from the real and true problems of this world. Poverty, global warming, war, and corruption are a few too mention. Money counts not what the music says or does to people. No one should care that your taking someone to the candy shoppe, but the teens think thats a good thing when its not(unless your married). Alot of my fellow teenagers are entranced by rap when they cringe at the sound of classical, elton john, and classic rock because either the singer's gay or because its old music or its just plain "uncool". That's all I have to say.

All the videos are the same, with naked girls shaking their butt and the rappers wearing a bunch of jewerly, rapping about how much money they have and how gangsta they are, but doesn't change the simple fact that a lot of people have to disagree with you because of how much his albums sells. Platinum status, I figure someone in that range could give two craps about what you're talking about, because the people who is supporting him must not be clicking on your question. You had a couple of responses compared to 50 Cent having over a million fans who buys his CD.

Yes, you are a hater...at least on rap music. Tupac and Biggie's music has become legendary since their untimely deaths.

As for the rap videos. Oh, so rock music doesn't do the same sh*t??? Aerosmith ALWAYS has to have some hottie in their videos and is almost ALWAYS about sex (ex. Pink...hmmm wonder what Steven Tyler means in that song). Or what about the "Cherry Pie" video with the infamous "nipple scene" on top of the sports car? Or how about Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" or David Lee Roth's "California Girls"? Or what about Motley Crue with their fast cars and fast women videos?

Face it dawg, sex sells. Deal with it.

But you may be right about 50 Cent. He's got no talent. But to generalize that all rappers who would get killed or have an untimely death would be forgotten about is just ignorance.

it the same way people felt about rock and roll decades ago
why does music always have to mean something cant it just entertain for a minute, yes rappers have bling and stuff like that but it the same as makeup or long hair for rockers, i dont like 50 and i wont remember him but if we only had one type of music life would suck and sometimes i just want to sing loud in my car to something that doesnt make me think or feel just yell!

I agree. . . except you say "Why is money involved too much now." that is true about most rap and hip hop and hell a bunch of others too, but that doesnt mean its true with all music you cant judge all music by just some, theres still tons of music out their that isnt about the money but not as many ppl know of them because they arent all mainstream.

50 Cent doesn't have a classic album to be remembered by...."G.R.O.D.T", and "Guess Whose Back???" was like his only good albums, but not classic, he doesn't have any solidarity in the music industry like Nas has...and he lost all of his credibility for his "beef" attempts...he may be successful at business, but he's also a successful to sabotaging the careers of the people in G-Unit(Mobb Deep especially)...

And your statement doesn't qualify for all rappers because like someone else said, when Biggie and Tupac died, they were remembered as legends, and so was Jam Master Jay, because he opened doors with Run DMC, and O.D.B, because he dropped GEMS with the Wu-Tang Clan...
