It isn't macho. It isn't attractive or impressive. It isn't anything but NASTY. One almost spit on my car at a red light. It almost gave me flippin' ROAD RAGE.

Some men are classless infidels with no etiquette. I have never really felt a NEED to spit at all. I don't get it either. It's a dirty and sloppy habit.
I tried it a couple of times and just got slobber all over my shirt. Then I grew up.

I'm congested in the morning, but I spit in the privacy of my own sink. I hate to see men/boys/guys hock out in public, it is the most disgusting thing. Go to the restroom and take care of that. I was stopped at a red light the other day and some "macho man" actually opened his car door to hwarf in the street...made me want to vomit. Oh man, I would go belligerent and probably pop a cap in someone's @ss if they DARED spit anywhere near my car.

Most men don't, but some men get into the habit of snorting back their snot and then curdling against the back of their throat and spitting it back. It's a weird habit like cracking your knuckles or biting your nails, it's not necessary, it's not something you HAVE to do, and it has no medical merit. It's just random and stupid. Once you start you can't stop.

because they wanna. and yeah if a dude almost spit on my car i would be mad. but i know it may be gross. but it is just something they do. and even some girls do it too. which is even grosser then a guy spitting. so there is no stopping a guy from spitting. and i don't think they are trying to impress any one by spitting. or trying to look macho.

I don't spit, I tried to do that because I thought it was cool but the saliva just got on my shirt. One time me and a buddy were running around and he spit to be cool like that and got it on my shoe. I was real pissed.

I'm a man who doesn't spit. And to me the correct answer to your question would be that the ones who do this are just plain ignorant and lazy!

Because they are nasty pigs and they probably think it makes them look cool cuz they did something bad to the earth which is very stupid. And i know guys who hate to swallow spit. it's very NASTY.

eeeewwww you are sooooo right......that is the most discusting things I have ever seen, except for a farmer's blow.......if you ever hear someone say they are gona do a farmer's blow, just get out of the way that is worst than spitting......a farmer's blow is someone blowing their nose snot in the air with no cleanex......

I don't know about other guys, but I have sinus problems. Besides, would you rather see a guy swallow his own mucus or spit it out?
