Its still shameful. But ppl dont think it to be so, like sex outside of marriage. Its all too common now. The generation after us is going to be terrible, looking at how things are going

Homosexual groups are starting from the position that shame is necessarily a bad thing. This is a completely wrong assumption. Shame serves a very important protective function in human society, discouraging modes of behavior that destabilize the social group and preserving mores that have proven beneficial to the majority of individuals. Primate societies exhibit shame and shame-based behavior, and it preserves the peace.

Yes there was a time when it was shameful.

And it is even more shameful now that values of those who do not agree with homosexuality, who are the majority, are being changed in a way that is not forceful but still without choice.

Homosexuality shouldn't be shameful. I have so many gay friends and love them to death.

Homophobic people are stupid. When you ask them why they don't like homosexuals, they say it's because it's not what god intended. WELL, people should stop listening to the bible, and "god". If you really believe in god, think about this:

God gave you a BRAIN so you can think on your own, and make your own judgements, NOT to follow the bible.

Anyway, anybody who is religious and tries to back up their arguments with examples from the bible, or "god", are wrong. There is NO proof of god, therefore anybody who mentions god in their arguments is wrong...The "facts" they provide are not real, and CAN'T be proven.

I support homosexuals 100%. If that's what makes them happy, that's what's RIGHT.

Yes, there was. In many parts of the world, it still is. The tendency seems to be, the more you learn about homosexuals, the less you hate them, and the less it is 'shameful'.

In the 50's !! In the 50's they were ashamed of everything. But you should worry more about things you should be ashamed of and quit judging and asking lame questions to tell your view on an issue.!!! And I am from the south (mentioned in one answer) and my husband (no I am not gay) nor any of my friends are so petty!!! If you don't live in a place don't make off handed comments that you have no basis of fact to make!!

I am guessing you are a christian. Now, no offense, but I personnally believe that you fall in love with whoever you fall in love with! If you would like to be that person, tell them what to do, and live their life, then go ahead. If not, dont look down your nose at someone you dont know simply because they are different from you. If you werent so close minded, you wouldnt care if someone wants to be homo. You arent sleeping with them!

It isn't just homosexuality about which people are shameless today. It's practically all illicit sex. Nobody seems to blink at sex outside of marriage anymore.
