America has been the main subject in the news because of the war and 9/11 incident which started the war on Terrorism. Bush did this and did that. Soon Blair will join him. Every time I tune to the news there must be something about the war or Terrorism. So what is there to talk about when people are been fed everyday with the topic.
On the other hand, most people don't have a sensible question to ask and just want to get a lot of people to answer their stupid questions which in effect may cause a chain reaction, of people going at each other..you are wrong am right situation...and then the topic becomes popular.
How Unprofessional!

If America is a democracy, the govenment should be representing the people. The people speak with their vote and the government represents the people (majority) that voted for it.
Politics can be good and can achieve much, but mostly, politics is run by big business. Consider: Bill Gates says that he will sponsor a University (anywhere in the world), but places the condition that the university concentrate it's research on a specific field. If they comply with his request, they receive finance which they otherwise would not have. If not, they stay in the same position. Likewise with goverments all over the world. In apartheid South Africa, the racist (slave?) policies served the goverment well. The rest of the world could not be seen to be in ranks with a country with such practices. So the commercials pull out and put pressure on the government to change their policy.
Likewise with the USA. You cannot double cross companies that invest heavily in your country. Murdoch doesn't have to fund the republicans directly. His companies support not only the USA economy, but many economies around the world. If he pulls his plug, someone is going to choke. So if one man holds so much clout, he probably has a say in how the country is run.
Presidents in many countries don't have to run changes by their main investors every day, but it's best if you stay on their good side.
So in answer to your question: The rate at which we consume information and the rate at which it is conveyed to us forces a response, and if we are at all concerned, we must question and respond to the issues in the wolrd which we live.

Every once in a while, somebody asks a good question. Good questions start with the big 6 (who, what, how, when, where, why), not the little 5 (should, could, would, does, and isn't). Good questions are easy to answer because they ask for a specific piece of information, and generally refer to the workings of something. Those that start with the little 5 are most often general rants that often deal with morality, rhetoric, or both. I am getting tired of the bizarre islamic propaganda that's been flooding this place the last week or so, however.

O.K I'm an American and it really pisses me off that there's Americans putting down our boys over in Iraq and America in general. Yeah, I have my gripes...so does everyone though with the place they live....but my concern is that no one is Patriotic anymore.
If they are they are extremist and racists. And THOSE are the people that are project to the rest of the world.....totally embarrassing in my opinion. Or the other people that are project to the world are the "Make no-sense contradicting fanatic Liberals."
NORMAL Americans usually don't get heard because of the other FREAKS I mentioned above always scream the loudest! Trust me there's more NORMAL Americans that have manors and are intelligent than the rest of the world care to see. Please don't let these minorities of FREAKS (Liberals and Racist) rule your judgment of the USA.
***For the record I'm neither Conservative or Liberal. Anyone who makes up there mind on a topic before they even heard the arguement is IGNORANT. I'm Liberal about somethings and Conservative about other things******

Well in the Caribbean, we think that most Americans are ignorant of anywhere outside of the US. They think that everyone in the Caribbean is running around on some beach all day sporting dread locks and hustling, when many of us work a lot harder than they do. Americans take many things for granted and they come across as being arrogant. but I don't put them down, I pity their ignorance and try my best to educate them whenever I can.

That's why its America - people can address their opinions in an open forum without much persecution. However, if their lives were restricted they may play a different tune.. But alas we live in the world we live - free to do just about anything.. where the young ones as well as some old forget what we are here for..

Right.
I have so many different bloods in me I've decided that I may not be American after all.
I have a feeling that my white blood cells have declared war on my red cells.
Hell, my German cells are fighting my Italian cells.
My Lebanese cells are fighting my Palestinian cells.
My German cells just declared war on my Russian cells.
My poor damned Polish cells are almost wiped out by my German cells.
My Irish cells are are shooting at my Dutch cells.
Damn, if I can't be at peace with myself, how in hell can I tell anyone else how to live together.
BOOM! Oh, ****, someone got killed. So damned much blood I can't tell who.
