i just got it a week ago and im a us citizen

I think it has to be valid for at least six more month not be 6 month old. I pasted the above from a travel site and the link or phone numbers should have the info.

no, you can travel as soon as you get your passport. Some countries require a passport to still be valid 6 months after your trip to the country ... but nothing about a new passport ... have fun :)

not sure what you are asking, if you are travelling with a 6mth old yes, they will need a passport of their own. If you have had your passport for less than 6 months, no that does not matter you can use it immediately.

I went to Japan about a month after I got my passport. I don't think that there is any minimum time that you need to possess it.

Hi! No - nowadays you don't even need a passport to get to London - Just arrive and say - I seek Asylum... you will even get free accommodation...
