Seriously? No. Worse yet, I really don't keep up with that sort of thing. The last Hollywood type who had a lasting and succesful marriage I'd heard of was Douglas Fairbanks Jr. but miss the specifics.

It's a tough committment in a place full of compromises, where everything happens too fast and sometimes not fast enough, where the world at large is vying for your attention for it's own self promotion, preferably at your cost; I admire those who hold off.

Like George Clooney and Julia Roberts. I also admire somebody like Debra Winger who left it altogether.

It's a business place whose stock in trade is dreams on film and manufactured glamour.

There's nothing real there.

Real is when you cut it, and cut out altogether.

Just like a guerrilla raid.

In a way I applaud Tom Cruise, but he's fallen victim to it to a degree.

He's following the only thing he feels he can do. It's cost him two marriages so far.

I shouldn't even be going on like this, but I do observe. It's too much like gossip, and in fact is. Something that really turns my stomach is to hear about other people just for the sake of talking about them.

You have this stuff thrown at you in printed matter.

I look at everything and try to forget about as much. There is no wasted effort where your intellect is concerned, but there's much we could do without.

I guess you really can't call them Hollywood but Tim Mcgraw & Faith Hill. Even though Tim has starred in movies and had a pretty major role in Friday Night Lights I still consider them more Nashville than Hollywood but they are famous and have had a wonderful marriage so far.
