Sit and pout while sucking your thumb. Three things:
1) Since the S.A.T.'s are college entrance exams, I'm assuming your parents don't want to put you in college?
2) If you took the SAT's early, you would still be in the grade you're "supposed to be in". you may not be in the grade you "want" to be in.
3) All this assumes that you get really good grades in all your classes, not just on the SAT's. Under this scenario, maybe you think you're supposed to be held BACK another year and your parents don't want you to be....hmmmmmm
Editor's note: the "what" and the "i" should have been capitalized. But with your high SAT's, I guess you knew that....

What if you didn't get really good grades on an s.a.t. test and your parents wanted to put you in the grade you're supposed to be in?

Well if you are supposed to skip some grades or something maybe they don't want you to move ahead because they feel you aren't mature enough to be in class with people a few years older than you. Just enjoy being a kid. If you are unsatisfied, do college kids' homework for money.

There are some stories about kids who were advanced beyond their peers because of great grades where the kids were miserable. Perhaps your parents are trying to protect you. They do, after all, have a bit more experience than you. Why not just ask them?

talk to your parents. What do you want to do? They probably dont want you to be pressured. Best bet is to talk to them and tell them if you are up for the challenge. Sometimes it's not all it's cracked up to be when your advanced a grade or two or more. Good luck

Sat scores have nothing to do with what grade you should be in. They are used as a tool for college administrators to determine who gets into what college.

Have you tried talking to you parents about what you want? After all this is your life and your future.
I am sure if you approach your parents in a mature way they will at least listen to what you have to say!

Well, it is very rare parents who will do that or never seen a parent like that but i believe the main reasons of doing that is selfishness and it seems they don't like to see you successful someday.

they suck. Most likely they're thinking that it'll be too much pressure on you. More school work, peer pressure, dealing with older kids; all of that can be a lot if you're young and still immature.

skipping a grade is not as good as it sounds. Socially you wouldn't fit in right.
