Go to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA
Hang out anywhere on Cape Cod (Sandwich is nice)

The White Mountains of New Hampshire
York Beach Maine
Cape Cod
Newport, RI
Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket
Boston : Fenway Park, Fanueil Hall, Freedom Trail, Museum of Fine Arts, etc etc.

If for vacation Milan is one the best place. With it historical and architectural place. Of course next to Rome.

Hampton Beach NH is always a fun place to enjoy the sun/ eyecandy of the beach and tons of bars/ restaurants and fun shops to visit.
