I am posting a website that gives an example of a Contemporary Moral Issues Class. http://www.cas.usf.edu/philosophy/syllabi/f2001syllabi/phi3630dwilkinsonf01.htm
This is just an example of what you might expect.

This may also help. William Shaw is a professor and the Chair of the Philosophy Department at San Jose State University. He is the author of Business Ethics, 4th ed., Moral Issues in Business, 8th ed. (with Vincent Barry), and Contemporary Ethics: Taking Account of Utilitarianism. The following is a link to some of his work.

I hope this helps, and good luck :)

Unless your prof is fantastic, the class will quickly devolve into a Jerry Springer style venting of unargued and unfounded rants on controversial topics by students who don't realize how underinformed they are. Maybe you'll enjoy this, and it will likely be an easy class. If you're serious about philosophy though, avoid Contemporary Moral Issues and take the regular introduction to philosophy course.

I want part of your A if you get one on this. Pretty simple if you want to be in the contemporary zone. Anything within 5 years should be okay. Hmmm Gay Marriage is a biggy right now. Preemptive attacks based on filtered and controlled data. Inside trading and fudging books to make companies seems solid so stocks will be bought only for executives to sell out and company goes bust and many loose. Hmmmm. Getting married to further your career. Piercing your body. Inking your body. Dating on line and meeting strangers on line is a real fresh taboo and My space with too much information. Masturbation on a web cam. Is this enough of an idea?
