It's your nerve system sending out signals to the rest of your body asking it to shut down for a while and by that your heart rate decreases. That's why you feel cold sometimes when you are tired. Not enough blood circulation. Your body literally goes into a shock.

I get that every night in bed. I then know that I am about to go to sleep, I think that it is a muscle relaxant from your brain.

Have you ever taken an antidepressant before, or even an anticonvulsant? If so, please talk to the prescribing physician. This can be a rare but bothersome side effect.

it goes back to when we were still living in trees that reflex was to make us grab on to the branch we were on so we did not fall out the tree
