Your compressor, has a high pressure switch on it. If unit is over charged this prevent if from blowing the seals out, by preventing the clutch to engage. Pressure builds up in system as you go faster..Check on a/c unit it will tell you how much freon the unit holds. If you have proper amount of freon in system, check for a vacuum leak. my car would stop blowing air every time i speed up when speed was constant it worked fine. I found a broken vacuum hose made of plastic . I repaired it and all was fine. If this does not help you find the problem, save yourself time and worry, by taking car to a shop that does a/c work and have them check it out.

If the clutch isn't slipping and the belt is good, it's possible that you have a restriction. Maybe a little moisture in the system that's freezing when you get moving. But it's hard to say. Hope you figure it out. Good luck.
