and is our mind the creator of all things? and so will the universe keep growing as long as we exist

The universe is the creator of us, however, what we see is just a reflection of light, and all symbolic of what we call it. What you might call green, might actually be a mountain. What I call a keyboard, might actually be the color yellow. We will never know, because our minds were programmed to work alike. People whose minds work differently than ours, we label as insane, while they might actually have a higher extra dimension of intellect. I think, in the year 2012 the Earth will undergo a great transformation, but I don't know about the Universe, either this one or other ones.

The only person who could answer this question would have to have remote knowledge (that is, knowledge apart from their own "outside world creating" mind). Therefore, no one who would waste their time with YahooAnswers will fall under this knowledgable category. Sorry for the disappointment.

But, I CAN answer your question about our mind being the creator of all things. And that answer is NO. Because, if our mind was the creator of all things, then how are our brains created. They cannot create themselves. Plus, physically, the brain is made of material that is made without the help of brains.

And yes, the universe will keep expanding, thus making time slow down (I think).

we may all be seeing the same thing but in a different way. seems like this question pops up in a variety of ways about once a week. it is a deeply philisophical question which there is no wrong or riight answer but you will find an exeptional response with an acceptable answer. consider this. as we evolve and adapt we constantly create things to do things for us.i.e: computers/calculators,alarmclocks,robots, robots that make robots, computers that think and invent, voice command electronics. soon we will be out of a job.if we do not exist perhaps we are inventing the next inhabitants of the earth. get this, we create in our likeness is what i am getting at. just like the big guy.

We perceive the world through our senses. If the senses were different, we would perceive the world differently. For example, snakes can "see" heat, I imagine the world looks different for them. I expect the world is very different for a person who is blind and deaf.

We create an image in our mind of what we think the world is, based on the sensations that our sense give us. The truth is, our image of the world is not the actual world. In fact, we can say without doubt, that the world is definitely not what it appears to be. No one has ever seen an atom, and yet most of us believe that the world is entirely made of atoms.

I kind of have this weird thought about the universe once in a while. Take ants for instance. They are only able to process a little bit of information as compared to humans. The ants go about their day probably not knowing that humans exist..for all they know we are their god. We walk over them..step on them...put them in farms and watch them..and they don't know what the hell is going on. They can't possibly begin to fathom what humans are. They don't know their purpose in life.
Now compare us to ants. We walk around everyday..doing jobs, having kids, eating. Somebody dies and we can't fathom why. We can't even begin to understand the universe and God and all that. We don't know our purpose.
Maybe we are only a cell in a mega huge being's thumbnail. Maybe there are things walking among us that we can't fathom and they can't understand what we do.
Its kind of deep and weird.

I was wondering the same thing down at the patent office.

I went to the Patent Office to register some of my inventions.

I went to the main desk to sign in and the lady at the desk had a form that had to be filled out. She wrote down my personal info and then asked me what I had invented.

I said, "A folding bottle."

She said, "Okay, what do you call it?"

I said "A Fottle."

"What else do you have?"she asked me.

I said "A folding carton."

"And what do you call it?"

I said "A Farton."

She snickered and said, "Those are silly names for products! And one of them sounds kind of crude."

I was so upset by her comment that I grabbed the form and left the office without even telling her about my folding bucket.

good philosophy question. ancient chinese: a man woke from sleep and said that he dreamed he was a butterfly and the wise man said '"are you a man dreaming you are a butterfly or are you a butterfly dreaming that you are a man?" also fits in with The Matrix. we humans are looking at the universe through a keyhole, there is much we will never understand.

Good quantum physics question. If anyone answers that, then maybe they should be heading the research department at Harvard.
