Then you have to do exactly as these groups tell you, even when you know what they want is wrong. That's what ever member of congress, the senate and the White House has had to do since the early 1900s, and possibly even before that

the best course is to start in local politics. see what the requirements for becoming a local politician. Once you build your reputation locally, then you start expanding.
