I agree that sex seems to be the most important thing as far as alot of men are concerned ,i would like to think that is untrue for the majority but i'm a realist so therefore i think it most unlikely that initially they have anything else on their minds, having said that men do become conditioned and after time i think that it is not their no1 priority, although remaining an important factor,.
Personally though the most important thing to me is respect ,quite a difficult thing to come by these days but never the less not unobtainable, next to that a sense of humour ,a man that can make you laugh can also make you smile and bring joy to your life, sex in itself is not that important but once youve found that man who can make you laugh, cry, smile and happy, sex can be the ultimate journey because you can always improve your sexlife and work together until it is a mind-blowing out of this world experience,
In other words anyone can have sex but sex with a caring loving partner can reach heights that you never imagined possible

Back when cave dwellers roamed about, sex was the only thing for anyone to do other than hunt, eat an sleep. Fortunately we've come a long way since then! A relationship is for sharing time, doing fun things together, having conversations, intelligent or just goofy s**t. Most younger guys are just way too focused on seeing how fast they can get a girl to say yes. It's an ego thing. They want to feel like they conquered something. This has always been that way and always will be. Men by nature are hunters, and are not happy till they made the kill. It makes him feel superior. Women are more into the romance end of the relationship, holding hands, talking, etc... Guys don't get this until they're much older (if ever in some cases) Sex should be part of the relationship when both of you are certain that there are real feelings between you. When you both feel you can handle it without guilt or shame. It's a serious thing, not just a past time because your bored or everyone else is doing it. Until you reach a level where you feel that this is the person who you can share your most intimate desires with, keep it light. Hold hands, kiss, enjoy a good movie or conversation, and for God sake, don't give in to pressure tactics.

I don't know how old you are. Having a relationship means way more than just sex. If the guys you hang with think a relationship is sex, then you need to find new guys to hang with. The most important thing in a relationship is trust and friendship. IF you have those two elements, then sex can be a pleasurable plus!

We todd ed.

Look, of course sex is part of a relationship. Does that mean as soon as you have a boyfriend you should spread'em and take it hard? F NO!! You should spend a good long amount of time getting to know someone. Like as in 6months to a year before you even consider it. You can't even pretend to think that you really know someone after a few days or weeks or even a few months. The most important thing in a relationship is trust, communication, and friendship. These things all take time to develop truthfully. You can F anyone, but you can't have any of the others with just anyone.

Not sex. That's not a relationship that's just perk. The most important thing, or things, in a relationship is respect and care for one another. If you can't communicate and understand each other or get along then it's no good. Sex is something that is extra that can add to the relationship but it shouldn't be the factor that makes or breaks the relationship. Relationships based soley on sex isn't good.

I won't lie and say sex isn't important in a relationship, because it is. As long as it is not the most important part, you are okay. You must have trust, communication, love and be able to compromise. There isn't one most important thing, many things must come together for a relationship to be solid and last the test of time. Good luck!

To me the most important thing in a relationship is the connection the two people have. Like how they fit together. Also I think the personality is important too.

I think sex is a part of the relationship, but I don't think a relationship should be based on sex. If you have great sex, then great, but when the sex is lacking so is the relationship. A serious relationship should be based on love, trust, and respect for each other and all that mushy stuff that we girls love and all the guys just roll their eyes at. If you have that and a great sex life with your significant other, then your very lucky.

people are so messed up, all they can think about is sex, I don't think sex is the most important thing, partners need to understand, respect, trust and love each other. I strongly think sex should be saved for after marriage for a special person not just any idiot one meets at a bar/nightclub and hangs out with a couple of times

I think the most important thing in a relationship is the way that you get along. If this person is your best friend and if you can tell them anything and they don't think that you are crazy. If they are not jealous or possessive.Being content with each others company and not wishing that you were somewhere else.
