If you are using a cd-rw you may want to format with incd or directcd that way you can drag and drop or copy and paste files to it if you format a cd-r you will render it useless. good luck

It depends on what you intend to do with it after...If you save it on Microsoft and then go to a comp with a out of date model it might not show up...It goes through this decoding mess...Try e-mailing it to yourself also
