I make a special point to make sure my daughter has a birthday party. I have even done it a month in advance. But have made a point to let everyone know that this not Christmas it is birthday. We all have a birthday and should be allowed the same privilege as everyone else. So yes double presents - it is not the birthday persons fault they were born around or on Christmas.

My friends is on Christmas, she gets 1 more then everyone else, I think its wrong. My son's is a month to the day after Christmas, we give him the same presents and if he asks for 2 big presents he normally will get the 2nd on his birthday.I try to hit the after Christmas sales, so he gets fairly treated. A person cannot help when or where he or she is born.

Nice try pal. My birthday is on the 29th and for the first few years of my life I got two presents. But sometime around the age of 9 or 10 I began to hear the following "..and this is for you. Its for Xmas and your birthday." Yes, I've been getting gypped all these years since then. That's why my wife and I planned for our kids not to be born anytime near Xmas.

My daughter was born 2 weeks before Christmas and we make sure to celebrate her bday and Christmas seperately. They are two different blessings and we'll always celebrate it that way. There is always A LOT of wrapping paper around the house during this time!

Of course you are SUPPOSED to get two presents, but it doesn't seem to be that way. My Godmother was born on the 25th and she complained her whole life that it was a monumental rip!

(However if you space it out a bit you can really cash in: my son is Canadian so he scores with Santa on the 25th of December, he is also Mexican so he scores again on the 6th of January (Dia de Los Reyes) then his birthday is the 13th of January, for him its "Kaaaching!" "Kaaaching!" "Kaaaching!"

But same day, no............

No the child or adult usally gets only one because sometimes people forget that it hurts the person or people when you tell them that it is a christmas and birthday gift and because sometimes people can only afford one gift if it is really expensive.
