I am trying to decide between these two as my Dell DJ is about to go.

My main concern is a player that can be used with subscription services, which I believe these both to be.

I don't really care much about video, although it is a nice added feature. However, is it worth an additional $70 to get 10 gig more space and video capabilities?

I bought a Sleek for my father but bought a Creative Zen Vision M (ZVM) because I wanted the video. Both of us use subscription music with our players.

I tried using my father's Sleek when I was on vacation and it wasn't bad. (I bought it for him without really trying it out).

The ZVM has album art, an addictive nicety, but not a requirement. (It just feels like it is sometimes :^)

The Quick Jump button on the ZVM is nice when you want to switch back to a common task, but, again, not a necessity.

The ZVM does feel like it'll get scratched up a bit more rapidly than the metallic and white plastic of the Sleek. But I like the ZVM looks just a little bit better. And there are some really nice leather cases from Vaja that are available. (Mine arrives Monday).

Right now, I only have about 1300 subscription songs on the ZVM which takes up about 8-9GB. My full subscription collection is 2000+ songs by over 800 artists. The ZVM will hold about 5000 by my estimate. The Sleek at 20GB will hold over 3000 songs by these calculations. I don't see myself getting there anytime soon unless I start going with more whole albums rather than carefully selected singles.

I do listen to audio books from Audible.com which the ZVM handles (with firmware upgrade 1.41.x). I don't think the Sleek does books from Audible so that might be a deciding factor.

Based on my usage and your description, the ZVM could be overkill. A very nice overkill. But overkill nonetheless.

I'd say it really just comes down to your own personal preferences and whether you want the $70 or not.

BTW, the Dell DJ was made by Creative for Dell and Dell changed over to selling Creative without rebranding earlier this year.

I have the Zen Vision W 60GB, and can under no circumstances want an extra moveable, multimedia gadget. I have 14 movies/films/complete concert events, 1800 songs, 289 photographs, and have not hit the part method mark but for reminiscence. No regulations on track downloads like Ipod. It has a constructed in mic to list memos to your self, it has a calendar, you'll sync as much as your laptop, has an FM radio constructed in..... I can cross on. I like it.

I think the answer is on the need for video. Why paid more for feature you won't use. Personally, 20G and 30G for MP3 player are both HUGH and won't make much different.

the sleek looks much better because the vision m is ugly. if you have a lot of music than buy the m.
