Some people sneeze only once, others sneeze several times in a row. I don't think there's a whole scientific explaination as to why it happens that way, it just does. For me it's one sneeze, but my mom sneezes like seven times in a row. I think it just depends on the person and the state of their sinuses. My mom has had so many problems with her sinuses. Maybe that's why.

I have often wondered that myself. I think it has something to do with your body's rhythm.
You sneeze to push out bad stuff, theoretically you should sneeze until it's out. I have heard that your heart skips a beat or changes it's rhythm when you sneeze so perhaps you sneeze enough times to correct the heart beat.

Maybe whatever you are trying to sneeze out is still stuck. Obviously something is making you sneeze and won't stop until it's gone. =)

i do no longer comprehend the place you reside, yet while this is a few place that chilly, and you have became your warmers on these days, there ought to be some dirt from the duct artwork, or the heater "registers", that's interior the air, now. If that's a modern-day habit, and he does not have runny eyes or nostril, he's in all probability merely having an allergic "reaction" to something interior the air. if your place is merely too dry (through warmth being on ), or somebody new has come into your place....that wears a clean "heady scent", or smokes....which may additionally worsen the membranes of his nostril. If this is merely the dry air, you may boil some water on the range, or run the nice and snug water interior the bathing room, and make some STEAM.....to help him breathe greater advantageous. desire this facilitates.......solid success.

A sneeze is from a tickle or irritation in your nose, or upper throat. (mucus areas). So until that irritation or tickle goes away you will keep sneezing and spitting out (people spray saliva and air from their mouths and mucus + air from their nose when sneezing).
It's completely involuntary.
