I need some red origami velvet paper for a kawasaki rose (if u dont know what it is its just an origami rose) .... where an you get this paper (i am not making it myself).

Or try your local art store (dick blick, utrecht, michaels, aaron brothers, etc.) or your local fabric warehouse.
Last year I got some card stock in black velvet from aaron brothers. It may be too hard for origami use, but they may also be able to separate the velvet part. Otherwise, they can point you in the right direction.

Matte would definitely too thick , might try paper used for scrape booking , I'm sure an art supply would have it.

You can also try to buy some wallpaper that has the texture you want...maybe just ask for a sample of it, or find out where you can buy it in small amounts.
