400 pages isnt that much...but just pick and day, sit down, and read straight through without much rest...as you read, you'll become quicker without really noticing it - you can't just make yourself go from slow to speedy gonzalez in one book. it takes time

Wow, 400 pages. Must be an expensive RC car. Well, there's no quick way of learning how to read faster. It helps if you read more often which will build up your reading skills. Depending on how much time you have, read several pages per day. For example, if you can read at least 50 pages a day you'll finish the book in 8 days.

The same way you would exercise your muscles to get bigger and stronger, by repetitions. The more you read, the faster you become. At the beginning it will be so slow that you may get disappointed, but with a little reading here and there your brain will start to become more efficient at it. You can practice by reading about your favorite hobby, for example sports, cars, hiking, etc. Choose something you love to do and after a while you will become a fast reader. In the process your vocabulary will increase exponentially, and you will get smarter.
But remember a healthy mind needs a healthy body, you will also need to eat well, rest and exercise (jogging, etc). Enjoy, you will discover so many things and you will take your imagination to so many places.

Short-term: Simply focus on the book and you can read it quickly. 40 pages per hour means you can be done in 10 hours or just one day. Long-term: Find a book or website about speed reading to learn the technique which is a very valuable skill.

long ago i heard of a migical computer program that trains you to read faster. it has something to do with IQ. i don't know the full name but you can search for it but it'll probably take too much time anyway. otherwise just start now and don't stop till you're done. good luck with that car

Concentrate. Read alone. Read in a quiet place, absolutely quiet place. Read in the library. Read at night. Whatever works for you.
Stop reading in front of the computer.

use long smooth underline.. using three fingers go over each line in the book. mildly push your fingers a bit faster so that your eyes will follow your fingers and the words as well.. this will help increase your reading speed.. hope it helps! :]

So you should probably be able to read it in maybe 3 days if you apply yourself. Is that too long to wait?
