It seems most likely that they ate the large insects and perhaps smaller lizards and reptiles that would have been around at the time.
It's possible they ate some plant matter as well, but pterodactyls seem more geared towards being predators than gatherers.

The peterdactyl Was Belived to be a flesh eater/Fish eater. common mis comseption But it is believed to only eat fish for its size was exadurgrated with other bones taht was when a nother larger dinosor was involved causing teh Immage of the Aero species to have bigger bones its rather small up to 1 m height and 4m in wings to travle those distances between its food and its prey in the deep blue
