If you cannot love you cannot appreciate love. Choosing to be loved with out feeling loved is callous, loving without being loved is painful.
I would choose to be able to love. Living without feeling is too bleak for me.

I think that it is better to love. Being loved is a great feeling, but if both are not possible I think that you would do more good in the world by loving. It would be hard to keep your feeling of self-worth up with no-one loving you, but the world would be a better place because of the choice to love.

well since both are not possible i would have to say it is better to love. that way there is at least one person that the one you love can always turn to.
but your question just brings up more questions like is it always better to have loved and lost than to have loved at all?
it is infinitely better to your peace of mind if you know that even though the person you love may not love you back just yet they may eventually return the feeling.

I think or its better to be loved because loving someone and they dont love you back hurts really bad. Its better to go to sleep everynight knowing that someone out there loves you.

i think selfishly i would rather be loved, but if i was a stronger person i would rather love. because to be able to show love to others no matter what is one of the greatest virtue we can have.
the saddest thing about this question is that many people still choose to be w/ people who they do not love, or do not love them......
