it doesn't hurt...you might feel a slight nip but it shouldn't last any length. just close your eyes and try not to think about it. take deep breaths to calm yourself down and dont worry about it!

good luck!

Hurt? yes, it hurts whenever you get a shot. This one may even hurt after it's over...your arm may be sore for a few days. For relaxing, I suggest coming up with a plan to reward yourself after the shot. Then as you approach the needles time focus on that activity. Thank about it in detail while you fix your eyes on something pleasant. A photo of a loved one, a ring on your hand. Then take deep slow breaths all through the very short shot. Take a few more breaths after wards. Then go reward yourself for being brave.

Tetanus shots do hurt, and they will be sore for a couple days afterwards. And you really can't relax for it, you just have to let it happen and move on.

The shot doesn't hurt as much as you are expecting it to. If you get a nice doctor they will numb the area first, with the same stuff they use on your gums (Novocaine I think).

It hurts more the next day, like a bruise. depending on where they give you the shot.

Yeah, they hurt, sore for a few days. Take Tylenol or Ibuprofe about an hour before your shot. It will lessen the pain and any side effect you may have.

It does hurt, but not that bad.

To make it better: Right before they give you the shot, take a deep breath in and then let it out as they give it to you. Also, don't watch!!!

It doesn't hurt if you just don't think about it. Turn your head and don't watch them give you the shot. Works for me.

no, but you will be sore for a couple of days. just feels like a ball in your muscle. they have come a long way with these little needles and a good nurse helps.

it doesn't hurt any more than a cortizone shot. just dont look at the needle being buried into your skin. that should help. and good luck.
