Read the Manual!! Each printer has different instructions. Some you can simply plug and play. Others you need to load drivers and software BEFORE connecting the printer to the tower.

First load the software that came with it so the programs and drivers will be available. Then close down the computer...plug in either USB or parallel port cables to both the printer and computer...then restart the computer. The hardware wizard should find what it needs.

if it is a new printer, then this comes with instructions on how to install it to ur computer. it should also come with a paper where step by step on how to install this to ur computer

Uhm...is it firewire or USB?
If it's firewire
1.) Pick up firewire cable
2.) Plug in firewire cable
-ALL DONE- :)
If it's USB
1.) Pick up USB cable
2.) Plug in USB cable
