OK... I am kind of dark but not too dark (caramel/golden) and I haven't been able to find a good lip color for a person of my complexion... Any suggestions? Please? (LOL!)

I suggest thickly lining your lips, then filling them in with a lighter shade of the same color. And don't use too much gloss - it looks so greasy and ghetto.

The Mary Kay website has an awesome virtual makeover system that might really help you out: http://www.marykay.com/whatsnew/virtualmakeover/default.aspx

You pick the model that looks the most like your skin tone and then you can experiment with different colors to see what looks the best. There are lots of different colors to try although the site recommends some as well. It's lots of fun and I'd be willing to bet you'll find some shades you like. The best part is if you buy them and then don't like them after you try them you can return them no questions asked!! If you prefer a more hands on approach, a Mary Kay consultant would be more than willing to work with you to find your best shades. That's also a free service and you can find a local consultant right on their website.

Me too, i buy some brown based colors in a "color stay" type of lip color and I add a sheer or shimmery gloss to make the desired color. I suggest finding a couple deep colors that you can lighten with gloss or shimmer to reach the desired colors.

Using a virtual makeover online could help.
Try this one - you pick the person with the color closest to yours and it lets you choose a complete face makeup for them; eyes, lips, and cheeks. You may find a color that you didn't even think would look good!

Im the same way, and the only time I can wear a colored lip gloss is if it matches something that Im wearing, but if you want to play it safe, clear gloss is always the way to go!

I don't think you should wear any color. I think you should buy a clear lip gloss for yourself. I think people of that complexion look best with lip gloss.

Use light browns or dark (optional), pinks, or a clear gloss. So you won't be overdoing your make-up and at the same time you'll still look pretty.

I would not get anything dark and I would stay away from cool tones. Sounds like something with a little orange would be pretty.
