Walk fast to get to work so our taxes can pay welfare so ya'll can walk slow

Guess what, you've hit a nerve, here.
I had always thought that white people walk at a regular speed, but the black people I run into here in Atlanta stroll at such a dragging pace that a turtle could overtake them, particularly when they are at work.
That is why I never choose one of the black girls to wait on me at my favorite clothing store; the three this particular store has got take such an inordinate amount of time to get out from behind the counter and do what a clerk is supposed to do that feel as if I ought to ask if I'm interrupting them.
The white girl, however, is snappy, and moves as if she means it; she helps me find what I'm looking for quickly and efficiently (and without the sulky attitude, btw).
I expect there will be readers who think this is racist; I say to them, how CAN it be, when it is my direct observation? Racism is judging someone without meeting him; I'm simply reporting what I see every time I shop.
And, to slow-moving employees, black or white, I say: get the lead out, honey, you're at work, not at home.

We walk fast because there are people to see, things to do, and money to be made. This is why we have all the money.

they walk fast to get things that need to get done, finished...if a person takes their sweet time walking to a place then that is just a waste of time, but walking fast is just a way of getting more things done than you would if you walked slow
