Get Zone Alarm. The Windows built in firewall IS NOT enough as some like to believe. Since I installed ZA it has blocked over 20,000 intrusions, several thousand of those being high rated.

I think windows inbuilt firewall is enough for security reasons but still you need one more then you can go in for zonealarm or Ez Trust CA associates firewall. Norton firewall, MacAffe, Panda, Agv.Try goole search for more results.

I've had good luck with my Sygate Personal Firewall. I couple that with the Avast Anti-Virus, and it all works well. So far, anyway.

XP Pro with SP2 installed has the only firewall you need.

I like zonealarm (from zonealarm.com).
In fact it is a better value than their retail product.
