Funny you should say that when... that people whom apparently take offence at it, sell them in there shops! All a bit silly!

its because too many English people are confused about what actually is their flag! Most run around with the Union flag claiming it is English when it is as named Representative of the United Kingdom. Maybe more education on this may see them fly the St. Georges cross with the same pride!

because some city councils object to the flying of the george cross. The reason being, it may offend people living here who
are from other countries. In some schools, the pageant of
St George and the Dragon was not allowed because of the same reason.BUT the other cultures still have their pageants etc in this country (UK)

Its all to do with being English. We know who we are, and we don't need to advertise the fact, its a bit like a child shouting at every passer by " hey I'm Jack!"
The smaller domains of the U.K. have small populations and are dwarfed by England, therefore have to work doubly hard to make sure that people know they are "different" - anyone who has experience of the scots will know what I mean. And I am not even going to start with the us of a!

Give me something to be proud of about the UK, and I might fly the flag on a more regular basis... but at present I see very little!!

Apparently it is a criminal offence to fly the St. George's flag outside your home. A couple are currently facing prosecution for doing such a thing.

Because st George was born in Cappadocia, ASIA therefore making an Asian. We never had a brave Englishman so we had to choose a foreigner to worship.

Really! there not proud of themselves, no real achievements to speak of for over a hundred years.Archaic infrastructure,Every one and there dog can come in.War mongering to fuel the economy,They are stagnant the rest of the world has moved on.Nothing to be patriotic about.
