Because they fear what they do not understand. Some people still think it is a choice. Yea like I would choose to be Black if I was white so life could be harder on me.Religious right propaganda and mis-education as well as the tolerance of these ideas as being possibly true are the reason. There should be no debate on these issues. Just tolerate and get along. I am straight but I have friends and relatives who are gay. They didn't choose to be. They even tried not to be. But you have to be who you are or you will be miserable.
Practice tolerance of others but do not practice tolerance of bigotry and intolerance.

some are homophobic rest of us are just sick and tried of hearing some famous person is gay or what ever and why do we have to know this whens the last time somebody came out and said I'm straight why do they have to waive a flag and draw attention to that fact should be a Private thing which ever the case and if we express this we are labeled homophobic some of us don't care what you do but and are sick of being labeled homophobic

Some people are homophobic because that's what they learned from their family. Others are because that's what they learned from their place of worship. Still others are because they are filled with self-loathing about their own sexual orientation.

For whatever the reason, people who preach hatred, bigotry, discrimination, and therefore violence against gay people can certainly not ever call themselves 'christian.' Their words, thoughts and actions go completely against their teachings. WWJD?

Some, because it's unnatural. Obviously, this is stupid. We do it, so it's natural. Bread is less natural—bread is manufactured. We come this way.

Some, because God tells them to hate us. Obviously, this is stupid. Everyone who hears voices gets sent to therapy. Why is it any different if you're hearing the voice of some bloke named God?

Some, because they're gay themselves and don't want to be, and the only way to convince themselves and others of their lack of homosexuality is by lambasting other gays.

Certain people like to try new things, they don't specifically have to be gay. if you talking bout femmes well they know what eachother wants and when guys don't do them right the femmes goes to their bi-friend and connect the way they want to and thats normal for femmes.
